Welcome to the website of The Foundation for Science Technology and Civilisation (FSTC). Here you will discover more about our on-going work in raising the awareness of the contribution Muslims have made to civilisation through science and technology. We continue our research unearthing more discoveries of past scholars, working with schools, enlightening a diverse range of people and consulting with professional bodies. The Foundation for Science Technology and Civilization (FSTC) is a British educational organisation which was formed to popularize, disseminate and promote an accurate account of Muslim Heritage and its contribution to present day science, technology and civilization. Based in Manchester, FSTC has scholars, partners, and associates in different countries. Since 1993 FSTC has collected historical data which provides verifiable evidence to fully substantiate the role of Muslim civilisation in the development of science, technology and the arts. It seeks to redefine the prevailing attitude that the period of the Dark Ages and Medieval Period was one of stagnation. Rather, the achievement of Muslim scholars in science, technology and the arts during this period contributed to the development of modern civilisation.
